By
The
Twelve Apostles
Now, when the rabbis
took the body of the Lord and laid it in the tomb, the mother of the Lord, and
Mary Magdalene, and Miriam were there. And when the body was entombed they went
to Joseph's home and there abode. They did not know that Israelite soldiers had
been sent to guard the tomb, nor that Roman seal was placed upon the stone. So,
in the morning of the Firstday of the week, they hastened to the tomb with
spices to embalm the Lord. But when they reached the tomb, they found the
terror-stricken soldiers running frantically about. The women did not know the
cause, but when they found an empty tomb they were excited and aggrieved. The
soldiers did not know what had transpired. They could not tell who took the
body of the Lord away.
Mary Found The Tomb Empty
And Mary Magdalene
ran with haste toward
She met, just by the gateway, Peter, James and John. She said, Someone
has rolled away the stone and carried off the body of the Lord.
Three
Disciples Found The Tomb Empty
And then the three
disciples ran toward the tomb. But John
was fleet of foot and was the first to reach the tomb. He found it empty. The body of his Lord was gone.
When Peter came, he went into the tomb, and found the grave clothes neatly
folded up and laid aside.
Now, the disciples did not comprehend the scene. They did not know the meaning of their Lord
when he informed them just before his death that he would rise from death upon
the Firstday of the week.
The three disciples went back to Jerusalem.
Virgin Mary Finds The Lord
Alive
The mother of the
Lord and Miriam did not go away. And
Mary looked within the tomb, and saw two angels sitting there. They said, “Why do you weep?”
And Mary said, “Because my Lord is gone.
Someone has carried away the body of my Lord. I do not know where it is.”
Then she arose and looked around. A man
stood near and said, “Why do you weep? Whom do you seek?”
And Mary thought it was the gardener and said, “If you have carried away the
body of my Lord, O tell me where it is that I may lay it in a sacred tomb.”
And then the man came near and said, “My Mother!” and Mary said, “My Lord!” The
eyes of Miriam were opened up and she beheld the Lord. And Jesus said, “Behold, I told you as we
walked along the way up to the cross that I would meet you at the sepulchre upon the Firstday of the week.”
Jesus Meets Mary Magdalene
Now, Mary Magdalene was sitting not a great distance
away, and Jesus went to her and said, “Why seek the living among the dead? Your
Lord has risen as he said, Now, Mary, look! Behold my face!” Then Mary knew it
was the Lord. That He had risen from the
dead. And then Salome, and Mary, mother of the two disciples, James and John,
Joanna, and the other women who had come out to the tomb, saw Jesus, and they
talked with Him.
Jesus Meets Three Apostles
And Mary Magdalene
was filled with joy. She sought again
for Peter, James and John. She found
them and she said, “Behold, I have seen the Lord. And Miriam has seen the Lord. The mother of the Lord has seen the
Lord. And many more have seen His
face. For He has risen from the dead.”
But the disciples thought that she had simply seen a vision of the Lord. They did not think that he had risen from the
dead. Then Mary found the other members of the company and told them all about
the risen Lord. But none of them
believed. Now, Peter, James and John were in the garden of Siloam were talking
with the gardener about the happenings of the day when John beheld a stranger
coming up the walk. The stranger lifted up His hands and said, “I am.” Then the
disciples knew it was the Lord. And
Jesus said, “Behold, for human flesh can be transmuted into higher form, and
then that higher form is master of things manifest, and can, at will, take any
form. And so I come to you in a form familiar to you.
“Go speak to Thomas, and the other men whom I have called to be apostles
to men, and say to them, ‘That He whom Israelites and Romans thought was dead
is walking in the garden of Siloam, and will stand again before the priests and
Pharisees within the temple in Jerusalem. And will appear unto the wise men of the
world. Tell them that I will go before them into Galilee.”
The Other Apostles And Disciples Did Not Believe
Then Peter, James and
John went forth and found their brethren and said, “Behold, the Lord is risen from
the dead, and we have seen him face to face.” The brethren were amazed at what
the three disciples said. But still they
looked upon their words as idle talk and they believed them not.
Jesus Appears To Two Disciples
After this He appeared in another form to two
of them, as they were walking into the country.
And they went back and told the rest, but they did not believe them.
Mark 16:12,13
Jesus Appears To The
Apostles And Disciples
Afterward He appeared to the eleven
themselves as they sat at table; and he upbraided them for their unbelief and
hardness of heart, because they had not believed those who saw Him after He had
risen.
On the evening of that day, the first day of
the week, the doors being shut where the disciples were, for fear of the
Israelites, Jesus came and stood among them and said to them, “Peace be with
you.”
When he had said this, he showed them his hands
and his side. Then the disciples were glad when they saw the Lord. Jesus said
to them again, “Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, even so I send
you.” And when he had said this, he
breathed on them, and said to them, “Receive the Holy Spirit. If you forgive the sins of any, they are forgiven;
if you retain the sins of any, they are retained.” John 20:19-23
And He said to them, “Go into all the
world and preach the gospel to the whole creation. He who believes and is baptized will be
saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned. And these signs will accompany those who
believe: in my name they will cast out demons; they will speak in new tongues;
they will pick up serpents, and if they drink any deadly thing, it will not
hurt them; they will lay their hands on the sick, and the sick will recover.”
Mark 16:14-18
Jesus Meets Two Friends On The Road To Emmaus
Towards the evening of the resurrection day, two
friends of Jesus, Zachus and Cleophas
of Emmaus, seven miles away, were going to their home. And as they walked and
talked about the things that had occurred a stranger joined their company. He
said, “My friends, you seem discouraged and are sad. Has some great grief come upon you?
Cleophas said, “Are you a stranger in Judea, and know
not of the thrilling thing that have transpired here?”
The stranger said, “What things? To what do you refer?”
Cleophas said, “Have you not heard about the man from
Galilee who was a prophet mighty in both word and deed? A man whom many thought
had come to found again the kingdom of the Israelites, and drive the Romans
from the city of Jerusalem and be Himself the king?”
The stranger said, “Tell me about this man.”Cleophas
said, “His name was Jesus. He was born
in Bethlehem. His home was up in
Galilee. He loved the people as He loved
himself. He was, in truth, a Master sent from God, for He had matchless
power. He healed the sick and made the
deaf to hear, the blind to see, the lame to walk, and even raised the dead. The
Israelite Scribes and Pharisees were jealous of His fame and power, and they
arrested Him. By perjured witnesses they
proved Him guilty of a number of crimes, and on last Friday he was taken to the
place of skulls and crucified. He died and He was buried in a rich man's tomb,
out in the garden of Soloam.
“This very morning when His friends went to the tomb they found it
empty. The body of the Lord was gone.
And now the news has spread abroad that He has risen from the dead.”
The stranger said, “Yes, I have heard about this man. But it seems strange that after all the
things that Israelite prophets long ago foretold concerning Him that when He
came humanity knew Him not. This man was born to demonstrate the Christ to men,
and it is just to say that Jesus is the Christ. According to the word, this
Jesus came to suffer at the hands of men, to give His life as pattern for the
sons of men. To rise from death that humanity might know the way to rise from
death.”
And then the stranger told the two disciples all about the Law, the Prophets
and the Psalms, and read to them a multitude of things that had been written of
this man from Galilee.
And now the men had reached
their home, and as the night was near, they persuaded the stranger to abide
with them. And He went in with them, and as they sat about the table at the
evening meal, He took a piece of bread, and blessed it in the name of Christ.
And instantly their eyes were opened up, and they perceived that He, the
stranger, was the Lord, the man from Galilee.
That He had risen from the dead.
And then the form of Jesus disappeared.
When He had gone, the two disciples were amazed. They said, “Did not our hearts burn with
delight while He was talking to us by the way and opening up the testimonies of
the Law, the Prophets and the Psalms?”
Then Zachus and Cleophas
went back to Jerusalem, and everywhere they went they said, “Behold, we have
seen the Lord. He walked with us to Emmaus.
He ate with us the evening meal, and broke for us the bread of life.”
Explanations:
1. This is the complete explanation of the above
bible portion - And beginning at Moses and all the Prophets, He expounded to
them in all the Scriptures the things concerning Himself.
2. Once more Jesus showed that the laws and the
prophets is still relevant in the present generations, even so in the future
and salvation of humanity.
3. Jesus is Lord and Saviour of the world.
4. That resurrection is true.
5. The dead lives on, in glory or in shame.
6. Everlasting life is true.
7. Man is not flesh, but spirit.
Jesus Meets And Eats
With The Apostles
The evening of the
resurrection day had come, the ten apostles were in Simon's house in
Bethany. The lawyer, Thomas, was not
there. The doors were closed and barred, because the Israelites had said that
they would drive the Galileans from the land. And as they talked, behold, Jesus
came and stood in their midst, and said, “Peace! Peace!”
And the disciples shrank in fear. They
thought it was a phantom that they saw. And Jesus said, “Why are you troubled
like this? Why do you fear? I am no phantom form. I am your Lord, and I have
risen from the dead. I often said, I will arise. But you did not believe me. Now come here and see. A phantom has no flesh and bones and brawn,
as I possess. Come now, and clasp my hands, and touch my feet, and lay your
hands upon my head.”
And every one came up and clasped His hands, and touched His feet, and laid his
hands upon His head.
And Jesus
said, “Have you here anything to eat.” And they
brought out a fragment of a fish. He ate
it in the presence of them all and then the ten believed. Nathaniel said, “And
now we know that He has risen from the dead.
He stands a surety of the resurrection of the dead.” And Jesus
disappeared.
Jesus Appears To Lazarus And
His Sisters
Now, Mary, Martha,
Ruth and Lazarus were in their home, and they had heard the rumour
that their Lord had risen from the dead, and Martha said, “It cannot be, for
such a thing has never happened since the world began.”
But Mary said, “Did not the Lord bring back our brother from the dead? And He
could surely bring Himself to life again.”
And as they talked, the Lord stood in their midst and said, “All hail! For I am
risen from the dead, first fruitage of the grave!” And Martha ran and brought
the chair in which the Lord always loved to sit, and Jesus sat down on the
chair. And for a long, long time they talked about the trial, and the scenes of
Calvary and of the garden of Siloam. Then Jesus said, “Fear not, for I will be
your guaranteed companion all the way.” And then He disappeared.
Jesus Appears To The
Apostles And Thomas
According to Apostle Thomas, on that day that Jesus Christ came and met the other Apostles, I went to the market to buy the things we would use to prepare for the Sabbath. Myself was the person usually sent to buy things from market.
When I was purchasing things, I was hearing many comments from people. Some were saying that Jesus Christ had been suppressed, no more hope. Many questions were being asked, including questions which people were asking me. Myself was answering them.
When I came back, the other apostles told me that Jesus Christ had resurrected and that they saw Him. I was asking necessary questions, interrogative questions, just as the Holy Spirit wants the children of God to ask and verify what they hear or read.
While I was still asking questions, Jesus Christ came again in our midst. Immediately I saw Him, I ran and embraced Him. The countenance of His face was full of love and gladness. When a person sees a ghost, he becomes afraid, has goose pimple or runs away. But it was not so with Jesus Christ. There was no fear, trembling or goose pimples.
And Jesus Christ said to me, “Touch the wounds in my hands, side and feet.” After seeing and touching the wounds, I bowed down and worshipped God. I joined the others in rejoicing and I did not ask any more questions.
The Explains The
Scriptures
Then He said to them, "These are the
words which I spoke to you while I was still with you, that all things must be
fulfilled which were written in the Law of Moses and the Prophets and the
Psalms concerning Me." And He opened their understanding, that they
might comprehend the Scriptures.
Then He said to them, "Thus it is
written, and thus it was necessary for the Christ to suffer and to rise from
the dead the third day,
and that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in
His name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. And you are witnesses of these things. Behold, I send the Promise of My Father upon
you; but tarry in the city of Jerusalem until you are endued with power from on
high." Luke 24:44-49
Explanations:
1. Jesus shows again that the Law of Moses and the
Prophets and the Psalms are still relevant. If they were not relevant, He would
not be quoting them and teaching the same.
2. Jesus handed over not to Peter, but to the
Holy Spirit. That was why He said to the disciples - Behold, I send the Promise
of My Father upon you; but tarry in the city of Jerusalem until you are endued
with power from on high.
The Bad Effects Of
Fear
On the evening of that day, the first
day of the week, the doors being shut where the disciples were, for fear of the
Israelites, Jesus came and stood among them and said to them, “Peace be with
you.” John 20:19
Apostle Matthew: Son of man, what type of fear is that?
The fear of
the Israelites?
The Head: It is persecutions and murders. Even nowadays,
such evil things still exist. That is why the ministers of God do not say the
truth, when things are going wrong in the society. They do not speak out the
way they should, because people may kill them. And that is why things are
getting worse. The ministers of God fear sufferings… many fear of being killed.
Son of man,
but it is not supposed to be so.
The Head: Yes.
Apostle Matthew: Son of man, because now, the present age, is
the time of perfection.
Then, how
can mistakes be increasing, be made?
Son of man,
ourselves call this time of perfection the time when all things shall be
perfect, without sin or error.
But see how
the temple is empty on the Sabbath day, despite the teeming world populations
of humanity and numerous ministers of various churches, ministries and
fellowships.
Will it
make things perfect?
The Head: It will not do so.
Apostle Matthew: Son of man, the children of God, themselves,
the ministers of God, do not have faith.
The Head: And they do not go into the spirit to know
which is true.
The Head: What you said is true. Myself
knows. But it is due to the conditions of things. The people that should be
present, the teeming world populations of humanity and various types of
ministers of God in various churches, ministries and fellowships, are absent.
They refuse to come close to be trained. That is causing problems. That is
every Sabbath all the same mistakes are being repeated.
Apostle Matthew: Son of man, when did Nkechi develop this
problem of lack of concentration?
The Head: It started when she had many children, who were
restless and distracting her attention.
Apostle Matthew: Son of man, did nay of her children come with
her today?
The Head: No.
Apostle Matthew: Then how come that this problem continue to
persist?
The Head: The children have laid the bad foundation, by
causing her restless and lack of concentration, which are manifesting and
working today. Other causes were the cares and worries of everyday life,
concerning what to eat, what to drink, and the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
Apostle Matthew: Son of man, ourselves are saying to her, let
her start from the beginning to learn and sing songs.
The Head: That is why we have stated midnight choir
practice, from 12 midnight to 1:00am, on the singing of
songs, because many things are going out of lien – going wrong.
Son of man,
themselves are giving many things as excuses, because they are weak.
Apostle Matthew: … whenever we come down, themselves do not know
that they have to be ringing the bell, for all the bad things to be going away.
The Head: That is true. What you said are right. It is
all these things that are being put to work, by giving them corrections, from
time to time.
Apostle Matthew: Son of man, tell themselves, this type of
things should not repeat. Another day ourselves shall come in, let it be that
themselves have trained themselves. Ourselves, the
Hosts of Angels and Saints of heaven, do not want to be giving, repeating
corrections every time.
The Head: That is true.
Many Are Children In
Spirit
Just as day was breaking, Jesus stood on the
beach; yet the disciples did not know that it was Jesus. Jesus said to them, “Children, have you any fish?” John 21:5
Apostle Matthew: Is that true?
The Head: In the eyes of humanity, the apostles are no
longer children. But in spirit, they are still children.
Apostle Matthew: Son of man, yourself answered very well.
Besides, the apostles are the children of God.
Son of man,
many of us have grown in spirit.
Chukwudi,
if myself call you a child, what does it explain?
Chukwudi: I am still a child in the Lord.
Apostle Matthew: You answered very well.
Apostle Matthew: What is children?
The Head: Children refer to the children, who do not know
anything, who are still being taught, the people who are still growing up.
Apostle Matthew: Son of man, yourself answered very well.
Apostle Matthew: Son of man, why did Jesus call us children,
since ourselves are no longer ordinary children?
The Head: The apostles were still children in spirit,
because there was still so much work to be done. It was true that the Holy
Spirit was already using them to work, but they were just starting to do work.
Apostle Matthew: Son of man, it is a simple spiritual fact which
humanity have to know and believe. All the people who have not yet grown in
spirit, all those people who are just coming in, as converts, as the beginners.
Son of man,
when they are called children, they become angry, offended. If you say to them,
“You child”. Even when the Angels and Saints use a small child to do work and
call them, “You child,” themselves do rebuke us.
Apostle Matthew: Son of man, many people who have read this
bible portion will ask, how come that Jesus call the apostles children?
This is because
many of us were seniors to Jesus by age. But ourselves
were giving Jesus the respect and honour due to him.
Why do
these present and modern generations not humble themselves?
They do not
want to help themselves, for themselves to get the spirits of wisdom and
understanding. Themselves do not want.
Apostle Matthew: Son of man, the ministers of God and children
of God do not know that they have to humble themselves to get various teachings
and blessings from you, the teachings and blessings which you bring in the
midst of humanity. Son of man, tell all the people who claim to be greater than
yourself, academically, politically, socially, spiritually, prophetically,
physically, etc, what they are calculating, what they
are saying and claiming as being greater than you, ourselves, the Hosts of
Angels and Saints of heaven, see them as people who have lost their way. They
are saying to other peoples, this way that we are going along, we want to get
lost. If you look for us, you shall not see us.” They do not know that it is by
spirit of humility that they shall get something from you.
Apostle Matthew: Son of man, does it mean that they do not read
from the Scriptures that it is the people who do not humble themselves that
Jesus will exalt?
The Head: They read it.
Apostle Matthew: All the people who believe that they are
imperfect, that they are sinners and are humble, does Jesus ignore them?
The Head: No.
Apostle Matthew: Does He by-pass them without attending to them?
The Head: No.
Apostle Matthew: Son of man, even so I want the … present and
modern generations to be. They have to … humble themselves. In whatever
conditions they may be in, let them endeavour to …humble themselves.
Apostle Matthew: Have they not heard that as soon as we saw
Jesus, we knew that He is the FirstSon of God, Jesus Christ?
Nobody told
us.
Son of man,
did they ask themselves questions?
How did we
see Jesus and immediately knew that it was Him?
The Head: Son of man, all those people who are proud and
pompous, if they see Jesus, shall they be able to recognize Him?
Many do not
know and cannot recognize Him.
Apostle Matthew: Son of man, let them humble themselves for the
Holy Spirit to take position and teach them many things, which they do not
know. And there are many things which themselves do not know about, so that
they can know about those things. Let them have humility and humble themselves,
so that the Holy Spirit can come in, because the Holy Spirit does not live in a
person that is proud, a person who makes himself a king. The Holy Spirit does
not abide with such a person.
Mary Magdalene Sees The
Risen Lord
1. Jesus did not allow Mary Magdalene to touch
Him.
2. Thereby, Jesus showed and proved that people
should observe the rites of holiness.
3. People neglect or reject the rites of
holiness and are therefore dying in numbers and enmass,
everyday.
4. Mary Magdalene called Jesus, “Rabboni!" (which
is to say, Teacher).
5. Jesus is the Teacher of the Truth.
Seeing And Believing
1. Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have
believed the Truth.
2. Already, many have deceived themselves by
believing all kinds of ungodly teachings and practices, as if the beliefs and
practices were from God.
3. Thomas did well to call Jesus, “My Lord and
my God”.
4. Yourself should do better by calling Jesus, “My Lord
and my God and my Father”.
Responsibilities And
Afflictions
Jesus said to him, “Feed my sheep. Truly, truly, I say to you, when you were
young, you girded yourself and walked where you would; but when you are old,
you will stretch out your hands, and another will gird you and carry you where
you do not wish to go.” John 21:18
Apostle Matthew: To the ordinary man, when somebody is a youth,
he decides by himself, what to do, where to go and does the same. But when a
man gets so old, it is no longer what he wants that his children shall be doing
for him. Instead, the children shall be telling the man what shall be
beneficial to him.
Jesus was
telling peter that the time peter shall be doing his own will is gone. Time has
come when peter shall be doing the will of God, by gathering and guiding the
children of God, who are lost.
Apostle Matthew: Son of man, yourself answered very well. Jesus
was telling us… that when ourselves, The Twelve Apostles, shall set out on a
journey to do God’s work, problems and cares and worries of everyday life,
various accusations, diverse sufferings, persecutions form friends, brethren,
kindred and clans, shall abound…
We had
various questions. That was why Jesus made the Holy Spirit to be manifest in
us, for the Holy Spirit to teach and guide us. That was why it was easy for us,
because there was nothing that ourselves could do if
the Holy Spirit was not present.
That You May Believe
And truly Jesus did many other signs in the
presence of His disciples, which are not written in this book; but these are
written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that
believing you may have life in His name. John 20:30-31
Explanations:
1. Right from Adam, God made it known that
keeping record is very important.
2. Therefore, every generation should keep
up-to-date and accurate record of the God’s works during their time.
3. That is how the bible became a book that was
written by several men of God and by one generation after another.
4. Many churches have neglected this very
important record keeping.
5. All the same it is even better that many of
the bible authors did not write to keep records, because they were following
the antichrist.
6. Thus said Yahweh the Lord of the Hosts:
Thus said Yahweh the Lord of the Hosts:
Thus said Yahweh the Lord of the Hosts:
“The records of the holy books must be complete and accurate, and made
available to humanity. This is the reason why the holy books were written.”
Breakfast By The Sea
1. The visitations and appearances of Jesus
after His resurrection were convincing proofs that Jesus is the Lord and
Saviour.
2. Jesus did all these to show the world that
death is not the end of life, and birth is not the beginning of life.
3. By so doing, Jesus proved that there is life
in spirit, after death.
4. Again, He did so for a sign to the world that
reincarnation is true, for He died and came back to life.
5. The disciples offered baked bread and roasted
fish to Jesus, who in turn gave it back to them to eat.
6. Thereby, providing a convincing example that
the offering of sacrifice is still relevant, for when we offer sacrifice to
God, we receive blessings and grace from His abundant love.
Jesus Gives Leadership Duty To Peter
1. You feed the sheep by teaching them the word
of God, making sure that they remain steadfast in keeping the original Ten
Commandments of God as in Exodus 20 and by observing the seven annual festivals
of God as written in Leviticus 23, which festivals Jesus attended.
2. You tend the sheep by ensuring their everyday
welfare.
3. All these very important duties and
assignments are being neglected by the religious leaders, who are parading
themselves about.
4. The religious leaders are more interested in
building their personal church businesses, whereas they were called to work in
the Lord’s vineyard, which is the Everlasting Covenant.
5. That is why religions, churches, ministries
and fellowship are multiplying all over the world. Yet, the souls of the
billions and billions dead are not entering the kingdom of heaven. Majority are
inside the hell fire.
Responsibilities And
Afflictions
Jesus said to him, “Feed my sheep. Truly, truly, I say to you, when you were
young, you girded yourself and walked where you would; but when you are old,
you will stretch out your hands, and another will gird you and carry you where
you do not wish to go.” John 21:18

he decides by himself, what to do, where to go and does the same. But when a

because there was nothing that ourselves could do if
the Holy Spirit was not present.
Summary Of His
World Tour After Resurrection
He met the masters
of all times and climates, and in the great assemblies He stood forth and told
the story of His life on earth, and of His death in sacrifice for man, and of
His promises to clothe Himself again in garb of flesh and walk with His
disciples, just to prove the possibilities of man; to give to them the key of
life, of death, and of the resurrection of the dead.
In council, all the masters sat and talked about the revelations of the coming
age, when He, the Holy Spirit, shall fill the earth and air with the powers of
the Holy Spirit, and open up the way of man to perfection and endless life; the
coming time of perfection, the time of knowledge, when spiritual science knowledge
shall increase and abide.
